Tasting with Dror Engelstein

This was probably the most exposed tasting we have had to date.

Our dear friend and talented winemaker, Dror Engelstein, revealed the intimate creation he has been working on for the past few years to a large audience. After years of working at wineries, he launched his first independent project, Snunit.

Dror studied different growing areas in Israel and different varietals, one of which - Oseleta- tells the story of his special connection between Valpolicella, Italy and Israel.

Some of the wines are ready to drink, are incredibly delicious and are even already in some restaurants' wine lists. Other wines are still in the making, and we got a chance to first taste before being bottled for consumers. We witnessed the wine in all its beauty and all the challenges faced in its creation.

Michelangelo, a restaurant owned by Hashizra member Stav Revivo, hosted us for the tasting, which was their first wine event. It's always great to be hosted by one of our members, especially if an opportunity is presented to deepen the connection of the business to the field of wine in the process.
