Meira started working in hospitality 15 years ago in a little Italian restaurant called ‘Bellini’ in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Since then she has managed some of Tel Aviv (Charcuterie, Gastro Pub, Cafe Europe) and Melbourne’s (Brooks, The Lake House, The Town Mouse) hottest restaurants’ wine programs and front of house teams.
In 2016 she was awarded the 'Age Good Food Guide Sommelier of the Year’.
In 2016 Meira also founded ‘GROW Assembly’ together with her partner Banjo Harris Plane.
GROW Assembly aims to be a source of inspiration and education to provide the skills, both emotional and technical, for the future generation of hospitality professionals.
Meira is General Manager for some of Adelaide greatest venues, Leigh Street Wine Room, Press* food & wine, Peel St Restaurant and an online wine world, Juice Traders!
One of her latest achievements has been adding ‘Mum’ to her already remarkable resumé.
